Hollister League 2008 Spring Racing Season is on April 26 through June1!

We will race every Saturday and Sunday till June 1st, 2008. Same rules as last year (see rules here.) As always, we encourage new XC pilots to join us, in their own ships, BASA ships or joining an experienced BASA member in a 2 seater. Tasks will be determined by the weather conditions present on each day, and will be called by Race Director Ramy Yanetz.

Spring Soaring is Here!

Come on out and get in on the great soaring that we've been having! So far this spring we've had a phenomenal wave lift day where several pilots got up to 18,000 feet over the shore of Monterey Bay, other wave days up to 8.000 feet locally, as well as post-frontal days with lift under gorgeous cumulous clouds. And, we've already had a few hot, high-pressure days with booming thermals. There have already been at least 18 flights over 300 KM, with four of those over 400 KM, one 500 KM, and another just short of 600 KM!
